Violence<\/strong><\/p><p>Discrimination, harassment, and violence of any kind\u2014whether based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other factor\u2014will not be tolerated.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Consent &amp; Boundaries<\/strong><\/p><p>Respect personal space and boundaries at all times. A clear and enthusiastic yes is the only yes that counts. No always means no. Be mindful of others and ensure that your actions contribute to a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Awareness &amp; Responsibility<\/strong><\/p><p>Always keep an eye on your own drinks and those of others. Respect personal boundaries. \\\"No\\\" means no, and \\\"Yes\\\" only means yes when clearly and explicitly stated. Everyone defines their own limits, and those boundaries must be respected without question.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Shirts On, Please<\/strong><\/p><p>Let\u2019s keep the dancefloor comfy and welcoming for everyone. We kindly ask you to keep your shirt on while dancing on the dancefloor\u2013 going shirtless can make others feel uncomfortable and affect the safe atmosphere we all want to create. Thank you for being mindful and helping make Waves a space where everyone can enjoy themselves freely and respectfully.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Looking Out for Each Other<\/strong><\/p><p>Creating a safer space is a shared responsibility. If you witness inappropriate behavior, discrimination, or harassment, step in when safe to do so or seek support from the awareness team.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Respectful Photography &amp; Privacy<\/strong><\/p><p>The dancefloor is a space of freedom - please respect others' privacy and refrain from taking photos or videos there. Outside the dancefloor, always ask for consent before photographing or filming others.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>No Open Drug Use<\/strong><\/p><p>The open consumption of illegal substances is strictly prohibited on the festival grounds.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Entry &amp; Behavior in Residential Areas<\/strong><\/p><p>Our events are strictly 18+ \u2013 please bring a valid ID.<\/p><p>Be mindful in the surrounding neighborhood: do not leave any trash behind.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Respect Cultural Identity<\/strong><\/p><p>Respect cultural identities. Cultural identity matters. Do not wear symbols, hairstyles, or clothing that hold significant cultural or spiritual meaning for marginalized groups.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Awareness Team &amp; Support<\/strong><\/p><p>Our Awareness Team, identifiable by their pink vests, is available at all times for support. If you feel threatened or harassed, please reach out to the team or festival staff (bar, security, etc.).<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Safer Space\/Brave Space \u2013 Openness &amp; Willingness to Learn<\/strong><\/p><p>We create this space together by treating each other with respect and continually learning how to interact better.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Consequences for Violations<\/strong><\/p><p>If this Code of Conduct is violated, the Waves Open Air team reserves the right to remove individuals from the festival grounds.
