Welcome to Waves Open Air Festival!


Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful space for everyone. Together, we can make this event an unforgettable and positive experience.

1. Discrimination & Violence

Racism, sexism, LGBTQIA+ hostility, sexualized violence, and any other form of discrimination or violence will not be tolerated under any circumstances.



2. Awareness & Responsibility

Always keep an eye on your own drinks and those of others.Respect personal boundaries. "No" means no, and "Yes" only means yes when clearly and explicitly stated. Everyone defines their own limits, and those boundaries must be respected without question.



3. A Safe Space for Everyone

We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels safe and respected. Look out for one another and intervene if you witness any discriminatory behavior.



4. Respectful Photography & Privacy

The dance floor is a space of freedom - please respect others' privacy and refrain from taking photos or videos there. Outside the dancefloor, always ask for consent before photographing or filming others.



5. No Public Drug Use

The open consumption of illegal substances is strictly prohibited on the festival grounds.



6. Entry & Behavior in Residential Areas

Our events are strictly 18+ - please bring a valid ID.
Be mindful in the surrounding neighborhood: do not leave any trash behind.



7. Respect Cultural Identity

Respect cultural identities. Do not wear symbols, hairstyles, or clothing that hold significant cultural or spiritual meaning for marginalized groups.



8. Awareness Team & Support

Our awareness team, Initiative Barrierefrei Feiern (recognizable by their pink vests), is always available if you need support, feel uncomfortable, or require assistance.  If you feel threatened, harassed, or discriminated against, please contact the awareness team or the festival staff (bar staff or security) at any time.For any questions regarding awareness and inclusion, you can also reach us via email at awareness@waves-openair.de or barierefreiheit@waves-openair.de It is important to us that everyone at the festival feels welcome, safe, and as barrier-free as possible. If you need support or individual accommodations, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

9. Braver Space - Openness & Willingness to Learn

We create this space together by treating each other with respect and continually learning how to interact better. Not everyone is familiar with these topics, so please be open to learning and educating others.

10. Shirts on, Please

Let's keep the dancefloor comfy and welcoming for everyone. We kindly ask you to keep your shirt on while dancing on the dancefloor. Going shirtless can make others feel uncomfortable and affect the safe atmosphere we all want to create. Thank you for being mindful and helping make Waves a space where everyone can enjoy themselves freely and respectfully. 

11. Consequences for Violations

If this Code of Conduct is violated, the Waves Open Air team reserves the right to remove individuals from the festival grounds. No ticket refunds will be issued in such cases.
