1) AWARENESS AND SECURITY 💗
The Waves’s awareness structure will be extended to create an even more secure environment for you at the festival. We're excited to announce our collaboration with Initiative Barrierefrei Feiern!
Our awareness team is there when you feel uncomfortable and will support you. They are going to listen to you and help you with any problem. Which form of support we will provide you with is entirely up to the person in need of help. The awareness team offers those affected the opportunity to leave a situation and retreat to a safe place where their experience of the situation is not questioned or criticized. If you need support let the awareness team know!
Awareness should not just be the responsibility of the awareness team. We are doing our best but really do appreciate the help from anyone to create a social space together free of discrimination. So if you see something wrong happening, let the awareness team know and speak up please.
You can recognize our awareness team by their pink vests labeled „Awareness“. You'll also find a fixed station – our Safer Space – located in the awareness area on the festival grounds.
If you have any questions about our awareness concept, please contact our awareness team: awareness@waves-openair.de
2) ACCESSIBILITY
The Waves Open Air sees itself as a festival that aims to be equally accessible to all people. The needs of our visitors with disabilities are especially important to us.
Therefore, on our way to becoming an inclusive festival, we are advised by experts to ensure the best possible stay for everyone present.
Below, together with the initiative Barrierefrei Feiern, we have summarized the most important information regarding accessibility. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact our service email: barrierefreiheit@waves-openair.de
